Case Study:

The Urology Practice where Mr. Johnson is a patient uses a Patient Portal System that provides patients with a discharge summary of their visit. Upon completion of the visit, Mr. Johnson reviews his discharge note and notices there were several terms that he didn’t understand. He calls Dr. Wallin’s office to find out more information about the following terms used in his discharge summary:

1. TURP
2. Prostatectomy
3. TUIP
4. Benign prostatic hyperplasia
5. Urethral stricture
